Before | Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know this lovely lady and supporting her through her hair journey. She has frontal fibrosing alopecia, a type of scarring hair loss that causes permanent loss of the hair once scarring has taken place. For her, the hair loss was particularly noticeable around the front hairline, so we needed to create a solution that would provide natural-looking coverage while still working with the hair she had.

After | Bespoke Hybrid Hair Integration

We created a bespoke hybrid Hair Integration system especially for her. Mesh Integration was used through the areas where she still had natural hair, while a small amount of specialist adhesive provided extra security at the front where there was no hair to integrate with. The hair was carefully matched to her level 4 brunette colour, before being cut and styled into this modern bob. The result gives her the coverage and security she needs while still looking and feeling beautifully natural.

Before | Androgenetic Alopecia

When this lovely young lady came to me in her late 20s, she was experiencing significant hair thinning associated with androgenetic alopecia. Because her hair and scalp presented a more complex picture, it was important that we didn’t simply focus on disguising the hair loss. Following a course of trichology scalp treatments, I referred her to a consultant dermatologist for further investigation and a scalp biopsy, helping her to get a clear diagnosis and understand the options available for protecting her hair long term.

After | Mesh Hair Integration & Bespoke Topper

While supporting this young lady through her hair-loss journey, we explored ways to restore confidence and create natural-looking coverage. Mesh Hair Integration provided volume and coverage, while a clip-in topper gave her additional flexibility.

As Donna felt her hair loss needed further investigation, she referred her through the NHS to a consultant dermatologist, where a scalp biopsy helped confirm her diagnosis. She now has the information, support and treatment options to make informed decisions about her hair going forward.
